  • Do you buy books or accept donations?
    At this time, we are not buying used books. We do accept donations anytime we are open, but ask the books are clean and in decent condition. We will not accept any books with animal excrement, smoke, or chewed covers. We do not buy or sell antique or rare books.
  • I'm an independently published author. How do I get my book in your store?
    Firstly, welcome, and secondly, we love working with local indie authors! We recommend sending an email detailing your book and a little about yourself to connect@foxandfablebookstore.com. If we feel your book would be a good addition to our shop we will order copies directly from Ingram. If you are an Amazon only author we may not stock your book. Amazon has had a negative effect on the book industry for independent bookstores. While rates are back on the rise, Amazon did considerable damage to the industry. You can read more about that here and here. "The period after Amazon’s 1995 launch did significant damage to the bookstore business, with the ABA reporting a 43% drop in book stores five years after Amazon’s first year in business, and the rebound only began in the decade starting 2009 — two years after the introduction of the Kindle in 2007.   • I want to host a private book club at your store. Do you sell wine for bookclubs/can I bring wine to a bookclub?
    We CANNOT sell alcohol in our store. You are welcome to bring your own for guests who are 21+. We are not responsible or liable for any damages, injuries, or incidents for private events, including events with alcohol.
  • I want to host an event at your store. Is this possible?
    Yes! We can host small events in our space for private book clubs, bookish girls' nights, and other occasions. At this time the only events we cannot host are children's birthday parties. Generally, we charge $25 per hour of event, but this may vary depending on the extent of set up and materials required (such as, if you'd like us to set up and tear down your event, balloon arches, or any floral work provided by our attached flower shop Flowers N Friends).   • When are you open?
    We are open Wednesday-Friday from 12:00pm-6:00pm and Saturday from 11:00am-5:00pm. We are currently closed on Sundays. Occasionally we will need to close early so we recommend checking our Facebook for updates.
  • How does your reward program work?
    Customers receive a bookmark for purchases over $20 or for a purchase of a new book. Each purchase over $20 earns a hole punch on a bookmark. Once the bookmark receives 8 hole punches, the bookmark can be redeemed for a free paperback book of your choice, subject to availability. *Books and punches cannot be redeemed or earned from purchases through our website.
  • Are you dog friendly?
    Yes! Friendly and vaccinated dogs are welcome in our store. Please note: our shop dog roams freely around our shop and the flower shop in the back, so please do not bring in aggressive dogs.
  • I'm a local author and I would like to hold a signing at your store. How do I do that?
    Hey there! We host signing series during different parts of the year. As of right now, September 2024, we have no plans for another signing series this year. We hope to do a Spring Signing Series in 2025. If you would like to be apart of this, please email your name and details about your book to connect@foxandfablebookstore.com.
