About Us

Hey There!
We're a small indie bookstore located in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. We sell new and used books along with bookish gifts, trinkets, and more.
As book lovers and Prairie Grove natives, opening a bookstore in our gorgeous little town was a no-brainer! We are so excited to meet other book enthusiasts and can't wait to build a bookish community so close to home.

Sky Tabor
Owner & Bookseller

A little about me: Hey there! I'm Sky Tabor, the owner of Fox and Fable Bookstore. It's been my dream to own a bookstore in a small town, and I'm so excited to build a local community of readers!
What's your favorite book? My favorite book changes often, but I'm a big fan of Sarah J Maas, specifically the Crescent City series. My current favorite book is Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo.
What do you enjoy if you're not reading? I love to travel, garden, and be outside. If I'm not reading or at the shop, I'm probably on our little homestead, or with our horses! Wherever I am, Ana isn't too far behind.
Favorite place you've been? Trinity College Library in Dublin! But my favorite city is Rome, Italy.
Devin Tabor
Bookseller

A little about me: Hi! I'm Devin, Sky's husband. I help out around the shop on weekends, or whenever I have time. While I love to read, Fox and Fable is my wife's labor of love, but you'll likely see me on weekends!
What's your favorite book? Oh, that's a hard question. I don't think I can pick just one. My favorite is probably Bewilderment by Richard Powers or Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer.
What do you enjoy if you're not reading? My favorite hobby is disc golf, but I also love kayaking, camping, hiking, and anything outdoors.
Favorite place you've been? My favorite place is the Dolomites!
Ana Tabor
Shop Dog/Manager

A little about me: Hello!! I'm Ana, a three year old Golden Retriever.
What's your favorite thing? Tennis balls. Or people. Or peanut butter. Definitely peanut butter.
What do you enjoy if you're not at the shop? Going anywhere people are. I love people! Or dinner time, I love that too. I also love being outside at the barn, and running around fields!
Favorite place you've been? Anywhere with snow! Though I really loved Breckenridge- it was very dog friendly, with lots of treats, and SNOW!
